Carl Neville was born into a working-class family in Barrow-in-Furness in 1970. From 2006 onwards he was part of an influential critical blogging community, and was involved with a series of popular blogs on the 70s, 80s and 90s. He published two non-fiction books on film and the cultural history of two decades: the British 90s in Classless, and the American 70s in No More Heroes, both published by Zero Books.
