Sep 26-28, 2008 FenCon V Dallas TX USA Fandom FenCon is a literary science fiction and fantasy convention with quite a lot of filk programming, some science programming, an outstanding collection of guests, an art show, a charity auction, a short story contest, a writers workshop, and members like you. FenCon is a production of the Dallas Future Society.
Oct 2-5, 2008 Archon 32 St. Louis MO USA SF/F The convention will have 6-10 tracks of programming, plus children's and Grand masquerades, around-the-clock gaming, 3 video rooms, GoH speeches and Artist Reception, theme dance and much more.
Oct 3-5, 2008 FilkCONtinental 2008 Freusburg Germany Filk Music ... THE con for all music-loving Science Fiction-, Fantasy- and medieval re-enactment fans. A very special weekend at the castle with music, dance and lots of fun to take part in or partake of.

Much of our program will look at how the mysterious is used in fantasy and horror storytelling. Be it occult detectives, Holmsian dragons, or Who Stole Frodo's Ring? How does mystery play out in fantastical fiction?
