Biography
Dr. Dionijs Burger was a Dutch secondary school physics teacher and author who studied mathematics and physics in Amsterdam and obtained his doctorate in physics from Utrecht University in 1928 on the thesis Research in the spectrum of helium with Professor Leonard Salomon Ornstein. He was a physics teacher in Rotterdam, a science historian and popularizer, and an active member of the GeWiNa science history association.
