Biography
Stephen Leather is one of the UK's most successful thriller writers.
Stephen says that he tried to write early in life, but it didn't work out. But after graduating, he was offered a place in the Daily Mirror Graduate Training scheme for Jounalists. That taught him how to ask questions, gather facts, construct a story; in short, how to write. And once writing a couple of thousand words a day became habit and with confidence, he could go back to writing fiction, no matter where in the world he found himself reporting from.
The rest was just sitting at the keyboard and doing the work.
