Biography
I'm K.M. Ferebee, a freelance fictioneer. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in/on Tor.com, The Masters Review, Fantasy Magazine, Strange Horizons, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, Not One of Us, and Shimmer. My nonfiction work has appeared in The Brooklyn Rail.
I was born in Texas, where my family has been rangering, cowboying, and rustling watermelons since 1839. I previously worked as a professional violinist, principally recording and touring with the band Beirut. I hold an MFA from The Ohio State University, where I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy. The magic subject headings that make me interested in things include: grammar, rhetoric, Wittgensteinian philosophy, biopolitics, the French Revolution, philosophy of mind, and comic books. Also I am really interested in the semiotics of Tumblr.
