I did enjoy it dusty, and I do recommend it, but it definitely isn't 'easy'. Indeed, I would say that the first half of the novel is much more accessible than the second half, but the bulk of the story is in the second half. I think Crowley has a wonderful turn of phrase - the kind of book which has sentences you read twice. That said, I can definitely see how people DNF it - one can feel that it takes an awful long time to say not a lot!
