Random quote: "The frailty of everything revealed at last. Old and troubling issues resolved into nothingness and night. The last instance of a thing takes the class with it. Turns out the light and is gone. Look around you. Ever is a long time. But the boy knew what he knew. That ever is no time at all." - Cormac McCarthy (The Road)

I invite you all to investigate the first two 1000 line poems in my post-apocalyptic series:

"Cathartes Aura and the Apocalypse Zoo"

"Cathartes Aura on the Road from Nowhere"

The story begins at a zoo on the day no one shows up and is narrated by a captive turkey vulture. He escapes the zoo and begins to follow the ragged remnants of humanity as they rebuild, destroy, come together, and fall apart.

I suppose not a lot of long-form narrative poetry is ever viewed by this group. Available in ebook form only at smashwords.com.
