Random quote: My pass had disappeared. Not that I believed for a moment that this was an accident; in fact, I had suspected for some time now that the Cosmic Command, obviously no longer able to supervise every assignment on an individual basis when there were literally trillions of matters in its charge, had switched over to a random system. The assumption would be that every document, circulating endlessly from desk to desk, must eventually hit upon the right one. A time-consuming procedure, perhaps, but one that would never fail. The Universe itself operated on the same principle. And for an institution as everlasting as the Universe certainly our Building was such an institution the speed at which these meanderings and perturbations took place was of no consequence. - Stanislaw Lem (Memoirs Found in a Bathtub)

you know, i had a couple dozen star wars figures/toys when i was a lad.  they were great fun and it never occured to me to keep them in the plastic.  what's the point of that?  they're toys for frell's sake!  this guy had other ideas it seems:

STAR WARS ULTIMATE HUGE GIANT COLLECTION LOT! MARVEL

it'll be interesting to see what this goes for.

Yep... the collector's mania. I used to buy two versions of each comic, and one copy always went into a plastic sleeve immediately! It got too expensive. Comics just haven't taken off in value. Certain key issues, certainly, but generally they're a labor of love.

As far as I know, his current plan seems to be wallpapering his house in unopenned Star Wars figures. That whst it looks like to me, anyway.
