History
Started in 1988 with the publication of The Early Lafferty chapbook and discontinuing operations in the mid-90s, UM Press, based in Weston, Ontario, Canada confined itself to the works of R.A. Lafferty and, to a lesser extent, Gene Wolfe.
Beginning with saddle-stitched chapbooks, of which there are eight titles, the press moved on to perfectly bound trade paperbacks (four titles) and, finally, hardcovers, of which there are six (three of which came, in their signed and numbered states, with additional booklets).
With the passing of Lafferty and his agent Virginia Kidd the press ceased operations.
