A fujoshi would normally jump at the chance to live in a BL world, and it seems like Maki Tazawa has hit the jackpot after being reincarnated into her favorite novel, The Noble King. The privileged life of Princess Octavia and ample opportunity to witness BL in 3D might sound perfect, but... all this comes at a cost. As much as she adores her OTP -- the main character, Sil, and his lover, Prince Sirius -- she draws the line at being used to solve the problem of producing a royal heir! The day of the junior ball has arrived. Octavia is determined to succeed in her plan to find a (fake) boyfriend. However, the ball may turn out to be more than she bargained for. Sil quite literally crashes the party, Derek Nightfellow confronts her to clear up his suspicions, and Countess Reddington is pulling strings to suit her own schemes. Will Octavia be able to meet Rust Byrne, her potential (fake) boyfriend? And if she does, will the meeting have the desired outcome? Whatever challenges this event may throw at her, Octavia must come to terms with her past as Maki and think fast on her feet to keep up with the machinations of others.

After seeing Rust Byrne's startlingly familiar face forces Octavia to relive a terrible memory, she finally gathers her wits. However, the junior ball isn't over yet. Never mind her own safety - Octavia must protect her OTP. She races to Sil's side, but will she make it in time?!

The night of the junior ball ended with a well-earned victory, and the sun rose on a princess... under house arrest?! Prince Sirius has Octavia on lockdown for endangering herself, and though she does her best to plead her case, convincing her brother won't be easy. He also has Klifford detained on suspicions of orchestrating Sil's carriage accident. It's Octavia's turn to defend her guard, but can she prove his innocence in time? Danger is around every corner--the anti-royalists aren't done with her yet!
