Random quote: Orito pictures the human mind as a loom that weaves disparate threads of belief, memory, and narrative into an entity whose common name is Self, and which sometimes calls itself Perception. David Mitchell (The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet)

anyone else interested in her works?
i've read:  'Still Forms on Foxfield'  'A Door Into Ocean'  'Daughters of Elysium'  'The Children Star'
'Brain Plague'  'Wall Around Eden' ... which i believe are all her books so far

i've liked them all, for various and differing reasons... very thought-provoking... unusual perspective

I have read A Door Into Ocean. I really enjoyed it, but have not followed it up with any of her other books. She painted a universe as epic as Herbert, and you understood the motivations of the characters, even if you yourself would not act in the same way. A very good book.
